Biographie:

Julien is a European and French patent attorney with 14 years of experience, including 3 years in industry.

Julien trained as an engineer at the Grenoble Institute of Technology (France) and obtained a Master’s degree in condensed matter physics at Grenoble University, followed by a PhD in applied physics (spintronics).

He joined the profession in 2011 and worked for several French law firms, where he drafted, prosecuted and defended patent applications in Europe and international jurisdictions, on behalf of clients ranging from multinational companies to start-ups and universities. He became a French patent attorney (CPI brevets) in 2015 and qualified as a European patent attorney in 2016. In 2022, he joined a start-up as a patent manager, where he set up an IP department, protected inventions and handled various IP matters.

Julien joined Atout PI Laplace in September 2025.
