BIOGRAPHY

Laure SARLIN began her career in the patent field in 1997. She first worked for 3 years in the patent department of a major French pharmaceutical group, in its Toulouse research center. She then joined the Lyon office of an IP firm, where she assisted a wide range of clients (start-ups, SMEs, major groups, public institutions) in developing their industrial property policies and all aspects linked to patents: patentability studies, drafting and prosecution procedures, both in France and abroad, freedom to operate, pre-litigation and litigation, « saisie-contrefaçon », training, contracts, etc. In particular, she has extensive experience of opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office, representing both opponents and patentees.

In May 2024, she joined the VIDON Group, as head of the Rhône-Alpes office.

Her primary motivation with the actors she works with is to be a close and trusted contact, bringing her expertise to provide them with personalized advice tailored to their specific issues and technical innovations.

Finally, Laure has regularly taught patent law : as a tutor for the training of European patent attorneys at EPI-CEIPI (Lyon, 2003-2012), at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and IMIS (Institut de management des industries de la santé).
