Biography

Samuel joined the VIDON Group in 2023 as Deputy Director of Operations of the Atout PI Laplace entity. He has been working on industrial property since 1993 and has practiced in several major French law firms as an Industrial Property Attorney and Professional Representative, including over 10 years as a managing director.

For more than 30 years, Samuel has been supporting innovative companies in the design of their intellectual property strategy and the protection of this strategy in Europe and abroad.

Samuel regularly teaches the fundamentals of Intellectual Property at seminars organized by IEEPI (Strasbourg) Samuel has extensive experience in drafting and examination procedures of patent applications both in France and abroad as well as experience in handling oppositions and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office, including multi-party proceedings and hearings in English and French.

He assists his clients in the drafting and negotiation of intellectual property contracts. He has also assisted several clients in litigation relating to the validity and infringement of patents. Samuel also assists his clients in the design of the compensation scheme for inventors.

Samuel works primarily on engineering issues and has particular expertise in the fields of electronics, telecommunications, software, home appliances, medical devices, automotive systems, household and industrial electrical equipment, heating and ventilation equipment, packaging and material handling systems..
